The second shout of the week was to a paged call out on Thursday at 14.54 to search for a missing person. A search from Puckaster cove to Blackgang assisting Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Team was carried out, the person was discovered further in land and we were stood down and returned to station.

Local Children Help to Raise Funds

Local children near our lifeboat station, Mia Cule, Isobel Cule & Sienna Watts spent the week decorating stones and selling them along the revetment in Sandown near our station. Tasked alongside Bembridge Coastguard to a Jetski declaring a PAN PAN in Sandown bay. The Jetski had struck a wooden Groyne and punctured the hull causing it to take on water. Vessel assisted by the Lifeboat and recovered back to the Lifeboat Station.
